So my friend Marie (over at http://wwwmartha-wannabe.blogspot.com/) has inspired me many times. This time, I have decided to follow her advice and make a weekly menu to help keep me organized both at home and at the grocery store!
I am currently making meals for my husband (when he's not at work) and myself, my three (very picky) children and three other children that I babysit. I have found the last two weeks that having a set menu for lunch, dinner and snacks helps in keeping the kids happy and keeping myself from pulling out all my hair!
So, on that note, here is my menu for this week (since I just started this blog, I will tell you what we ate Monday-Sunday).
Monday
Breakfast: Toast with Nutella and milk or Sunny Delight
Lunch: Peanut Butter and Jelly (or honey) sandwiches, apple slices, cheetos, string cheese, juice or water
Snack: Ritz crackers, white and yellow cheddar slices, water
Dinner: Pizza, baby carrots, applesauce, milk
Tuesday
Breakfast:: Cereal with milk, milk or Sunny Delight
Lunch: Ramen noodles, apple slices and carrot sticks, juice or water
Snack: Ritz crackers with peanut butter, string cheese, water
Dinner: Chicken Cordon Bleu, stuffing, green beans, pears, milk
Wednesday
Breakfast: Sausage and toast, milk or Sunny Delight
Lunch: Tuna fish sandwiches, cheetos, apple slices, berry jello, juice or water
Snack: Carrot sticks with ranch, teddy grahams
Dinner: Hamburger helper (cheesy hashbrowns), green beans, applesauce, biscuit, milk
Thursday
Breakfast: Waffles, milk or sunny delight
Lunch: Macaroni and Cheese with hotdogs, homemade applesauce, juice or water, banana pudding ice cream
Snack: Ritz crackers with peanut butter, apple slices, water
Dinner: Shepherds pie, green beans, fresh cantaloupe, biscuit, milk
Friday
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with cheese, toast, milk or sunny delight
Lunch: Mini raviolis, cantaloupe, juice or water
Snack: Popcorn, Root Beer
Dinner: BBQ drumsticks, Chicken flavored rice-a-roni, green beans, milk
Saturday
Breakfast: Apple pancakes, milk or sunny delight
Lunch: Chicken nuggets, frozen peas, cheeries, juice or water
Snack: Fruit Snacks, Trail Mix, water
Dinner: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes, biscuits, green beans, pears
Sunday
Breakfast: Waffles, eggs, sausage, milk, juice
Lunch: Cheese Pizza, frozen peas, peaches, pop (a.k.a. our "P" lunch)
Snack: Graham crackers sandwiches (with chocolate or vanilla frosting in the middle), water
Dinner: Crunchy Ranch Chicken, potatoes au gratin, mixed fruit, milk
