Life Is Good Award

Wow!  Another award!  I am feeling very loved! Thank you so much to Tina at Book Couture!  I appreciate the award!

  1. Thank and link back to the person that gave this award.
  2. Answer the 10 survey questions.
  3. Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic.
  4. Contact the bloggers you’ve picked to let them know about the award.

1. If you blog anonymously are you happy doing it that way; if you are not anonymous do you wish you had started out anonymously so you could be anonymous now?
I don't blog anonymously and I'm glad I don't.  I want people to have a little insight to my life so they can understand  my book reviews and my book choices.  I, of course, don't share anything private and only post what I want people to know but I have no regrets about not blogging anonymously.

2. Describe one incident that shows your inner stubborn side:
I absolutely refused to let my husband's best man take him to Vegas for his bachelor party.  It was not because I didn't trust him.  It was because his best friend is super rich and was going to pay for all the guys to go to Vegas for four days and I felt it wasn't fair to me or my girls.  If he had wanted to pay for all of that would have been different but it caused a lot of tension.  The other reason was because he was going to kidnap my hubby and not tell me what was going on and I'm not cool with that.  So, just ask him about how stubborn I can be!

3. What do you see when you really look at yourself in the mirror?
Honestly, I see someone who is tired because I read so dang late into the night!  I see someone who is confident enough with myself that I don't need other people's approval.  I see someone who is happy with her life, for the most part!

4. What is your favourite summer cold drink?
Strawberry lemonade!  I love the stuff!
5. When you take time for yourself, what do you do?
I love to take a nice, hot bath wit a Lush bath bomb and a good book!

6. Is there something you still want to accomplish in your life? What is it?
I want to travel more and I would love to adopt a baby from Ethiopia or Russia.

7. When you attended school, were you the class clown, the class overachiever , the shy person, or always ditching?

I was shy!

8. If you close your eyes and want to visualize a very poignant moment of your life what would you see?
When I got pregnant with my daughter (my 2nd child), my husband's grandma was dying of cancer.  She was an AMAZING woman!  About 3 weeks after she died, we had to have a special test done on our baby because a test determined that she may be a Trisomy 18 baby (which meant potential death upon birth).   We did not know the sex and the tech asked if we wanted to know because even though it was early, she had a very clear view.  We said yes and she told us the baby was a girl.  I think we both were crying because we said that if she was a girl we would be naming her after my husband's grandma.  Thus, we have Alexis Jean!

9. Is it easy for you to share your true self in your blog or are you more comfortable writing posts about other people or events?
I have no problemns with sharing my true self in my blog.  That's what I started my blog share my true self and opinions with others!

10. If you had the choice to sit down and read or talk on the phone, which would you do and why?
Um, I am gonna have to say read, hands down!  I'm not a big phone talker!
Here are the lovely people with wonderful blogs I am passing on this award to:

  1. congrats on the award! :)

Strawberry Lemonade sounds very refreshing and Summery.

  2. You were shy in school? Hmmm, I don't remember that! (: You know I was the ditcher!

  3. I know you were the ditcher Marie! I seem to remember you corrupting me and making me go with! I was pretty don't think? Maybe I'll have to re-evaluate that answer :)

  4. Thank you so much! Should I tell you that I did my fair share of ditching? Maybe not, forget I said that...

  5. Thank you so much!!! I'm not much of a phone talker either! It's so nice to find new blogs =)

  6. Saw your name in the linky from Lori's Reading Corner Show Me The Money.

  8. I would much rather read too! Congratulations on your well deserved award and thank you for passing it along to me.

  9. Love you comment about your grandmother-in-law. What a honor to name your daughter after her.

Thank you for passing the award along!

  10. Thanks so much for passing the award to me!

  11. Thank you so much!!! I had not seen this award before! I love it!

Thanks for visiting my Mailbox, too - I just finished Carnal Innocence and I really liked it. I was impressed with her boldness in this one, and the way she plowed headlong into racial tensions. And I never guessed who the murderer was, either! You can't go wrong with Nora Roberts!

  12. Congrats on the award and thanks so much for awarding it to me!!! You can check out my post about it here:

    Thanks again,

    Claire :)

  13. Congrats on receiving the award and thanks so much for passing it on to me. I really appreciate it.

I'm with you. I would definitely pick up a book before the phone. I avoid the phone at all costs.
