Teaser Tuesday: Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Books And A Beat.

Teaser

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
• Grab your current read
• Open to a random page
• Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
• Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser this week is from Go Set a Watchman by Harper Lee.  I LOVE To Kill a Mockingbird so I am really excited to finally read this one!

The one human being she had ever fully and wholeheartedly trusted had failed her; the only man she had ever known to whom she could point and say with expert knowledge, "He is a gentleman, in his heart he is a gentleman," had betrayed her, publicly, grossly, and shamelessly.

  1. I like the sound of the teaser! To Kill A Mockingbird is one of my all time favorites, but I'm still not sure if I want to read Go Set A Watchman. I've heard a lot of people were actually disappointed by it and I don't want to ruin my memories of To Kill A Mockingbird... I hope you'll enjoy it though!

  2. I haven't read this one yet but it's near the top of my TBR list. I'm looking forward to it.
My Tuesday post features THE ALL-GIRL FILLING STATION’S LAST REUNION by Fannie Flagg.
